Brief

Psychotherapist Pauline Morgan requires a website to attract new clients. The task was to design a website that would be more attractive than competitors and perform well on SERPs. Pauline wants to be able to edit and update the website herself.

Execution

The new site was built using WordPress with consideration for the target market and optimised for lead generation. Target: Edinburgh residents seeking help with mental health issues.

Results

  • The site stands out over her local competitors which use generic templates.
  • It is optimised for both local and standard SEO.
  • It is responsive across devices.
  • It is set up to generate regular analytics reports through GTM implementation.
  • It is optimised for lead generation. The site has not yet gone live.

Branding

The bird motif represents freedom from mental health challenges.

The colours elicit connections with nature.

The hand-drawn illustrations contribute to creating a unique style that aids differentiation.

The logo is complex yet communicates the purpose of therapy.

UX wireframes were created using Adobe XD. This helped the client visualise her initial outline and suggest changes that ultimately became the final design.
